The NCR Construction Industry Tripartite Council (NCR-CITC) will hold its Second Quarter Meeting on Friday 25 May 2018 at the 4th Floor Conference Room at the DOLE-NCR Building in Malate, Manila. On the Agenda is the Presentation of TESDA Competency Assessment and Certification for Workers (ICACW) Program. Discussions will further focus on the implementation of other Programs approved under the Action Plan and results, if any.
The approved Programs in terms of the NCR-CITC Action Plan fall in two categories: Enforcement and Capacity Building. Enforcement includes the reporting of unlicensed contractors, request for revocation of Business Licenses issued to unlicensed contractors, reporting unsafe and non-compliant construction sites, Round Table Conference with NCR Building and Business License Officials, information dissemination, etc. Capacity Building includes skills and other training of construction workers, continuous training for construction professionals, labor laws awareness, etc.
